Metropole Hanoi brought the flavours of Hanoi cuisine to Ho Chi Minh City

Hanoi (August 26, 2024) – Last weekend, from August 23 to 25, Metropole Hanoi participated in “Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City”, an event showcasing the rich flavours of Hanoi’s culinary heritage to the people of the South.

Featuring over 30 culinary stalls that offered a diverse array of Hanoi’s specialties, including banh day, spring rolls, pho, bun thang, vermicelli noodles, and Hanoi draft beer, the event welcomed thousands of diners eager to savour the capital’s signature dishes.

Mrs. Pham Minh Khanh, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Metropole Hanoi, remarked, “We are delighted and honoured to bring the essence of Hanoi’s cuisine to Ho Chi Minh City. These specialties hold a unique charm as they are crafted by the hands of Hanoians themselves.”

In addition to traditional favorites, Metropole Hanoi also introduced seasonal autumn delicacies such as mooncakes, stir-fried green rice, papaya salad with dried beef, and fish cakes. The recreated cultural ambiance of Hanoi in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City provided a multisensory experience, not only pleasing palates but also celebrating cultural exchange.

The event garnered significant attention and enthusiasm from the people of Ho Chi Minh City, underscoring the enduring appeal of Hanoi’s cuisine and the spirit of connection between Vietnam’s two major cities.
